Produce Love

This week is one of those weeks that I’m absolutely ecstatic to be a co-oper.

How much more exciting does it get than to wake up early on a Saturday morning to go pick up a bag of goodies?  Goodies that are waiting anxiously for you to see them.  Some of them may be hiding in brown paper bags, their special secrets to be revealed at home.  Or hanging out mingling with their other Mexican food friends in a big plastic bag.

It really doesn’t get any better than this

So let’s start with the Fruits

1 Cantaloupe, 1 Coconut, 11 Bananas, 10 Apples, 1 Bag of Grapes,  14 Apricots (yes I do think it is a requirement to capitalize produce names this week – after all, they are the star of my Saturdays)

and the Veggies

1 Head of Lettuce, 1 Head of Celery, 1 Bunch of Broccoli, 1 Big Bag of Green Beans, 8 Red Potatoes, 6 Tomatoes

and for the Grand Finale – the insanely huge Mexican Pack of 6/12/10

2 HUGE Onions, 4 Avocados, 1 Bunch Green Onions, 2 Bulbs of Garlic, 1 Bunch Cilantro, 5 Limes, 4 Jalapenos, 8 Other Peppers, 15ish Tomatillos

The even more awesomest news is that me and Shelly are sharing a 20 lb box of Tomatoes that was one of the special options for this week.  So I’ll be picking that up from her later today.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Saturday – I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on the last couple of days.  But you’re going to have to be patient, I’m double booking myself with studying and Super Secret Project time…

More eye candy for the photo lovers

Thinking of making apricot preserves this week…

Aren’t they beautiful?
